There's nothing wrong with the Muslim reciting ruqyah for himself. That may be permissible; in fact it is an efficient Sunnah, to the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) recited ruqyah for himself, plus some of his Companions recited ruqyah for by themselves.
